Committee participation is a great way to take full advantage of your AIM North America membership. It is the committees who influence and drive the activities that the association carries out on your behalf. What’s Involved?
Committees typically meet by teleconference montly, and in person at the association’s annual meeting and other industry events as needed. Committee members are expected to regularly attend and contribute to committee meetings. If a committee member cannot attend a given meeting, he or she may send a substitute representative from their company.

Committees
Marketing Committee Meeting Minutes Ideal candidates for this committee are senior-level marketing staff with management oversight within their own companies. Chairs and vice chairs of each marketing subcommittee will also sit on this committee. The marketing committee will create a marketing plan for AIM North America based on feedback from each of the marketing subcommittees. The marketing committee will have oversight of all marketing subcommittees and will be required to approve or reject all plans submitted by the subcommittees through a voting process. This group will also have fiscal responsibility for the overall marketing area. They will be responsible for evaluating the budget proposals of each marketing subcommittee and making a marketing budget recommendation to the AIM North America Board of Directors.
 
  • Web Subcommittee - Ideal candidates for this subcommittee are individuals responsible for developing strategy for utilizing the web to establish corporate brand and raise revenue as well as individuals skilled in web layout and design. The purpose of this committee is to continually improve resources and services provided to members through the AIM North America web site.
 
  • Newsletter Subcommitee - Ideal candidates for this subcommittee are individuals responsible for communications and branding. The electronic newsletter will be used to communicate with and educate members and non-members and also to increase recognition and credibility of the AIM North America brand. This committee will design the template for the newsletter as well as establish the structure and content outline. They will work with AIM North America staff to maintain an ongoing editorial calendar.


Membership Committee
Ideal candidates for this subcommittee are channel directors or similar job function and executive level VARs who wish to help define what member benefits are relevant to the channel. This group will be responsible for creating a membership recruitment and retention plan. They will also have fiscal responsibility in the membership area. They will be responsible for making a membership budget recommendation to the AIM NA Board of Directors.

Education Committee
Ideal candidates for this committee are those with responsibility for producing educational programs and products for channel partners, and VARs who can provide input on the subject matter of education they need and preferred methods of delivery. Those with business development responsibilities would also be likely contributors to this committee. This group will have fiscal responsibility for AIM NA educational initiatives. They will be responsible for making an education budget recommendation to the AIM NA Board of Directors.
