Put Your Leadership Skills to the Test!
Committee participation is a great way to take full advantage of your AIM North America membership. It is the committees who influence and drive the activities that the association carries out on your behalf. Also, meeting with other AIM members through committee work is a great way to form new business relationships and stay abreast of what’s going on in the market.

What’s Involved?
Committees typically meet by teleconference montly, and in person at the association’s annual meeting and other industry events as needed. Committee members are expected to regularly attend and contribute to committee meetings. If a committee member cannot attend a given meeting, he or she may send a substitute representative from their company.

IoT Committee - The IoT committee is comprised of AIM member committees with an interest in influencing the direction and definition of the Internet of Things, especially as it relates to bar code, RFID and mobile computing solutions.  The committee provides a forum for members to understand this rapidly changing landscape, and enables participants to lay the foundation for a smarter, more efficient world using automatic identification and mobility technology solutions. For more information, visit the IoT website.

UDI Committee - Established in November 2011, the UDI Committee provides guidance and best practices on the use of AIDC (automatic identification and data capture) technologies in the implementation of the FDA UDI and SNI initiatives. The committee is divided into three primary work areas: AIDC Technology which coordinates activities among technical groups internal and external to AIM; Communications which overseas member recruitment, messaging, and marketing of the committee to the AIM and non-AIM communities; and Legislative, Implementation & Outreach which establishes relationships with like-minded organizations and businesses in the pursuit of successful implementations of the FDA UDI & SNI Initiatives. For more information, contact the AIM NA office.

UID Supplier Alliance - The UID Suppliers Alliance (USA) Committee was formed in November 207 to provide UID vendors with a forum to discuss issues, and develop and implement projects that will help accelerate UID implementation. The Committee was chartered with three main goals: develop a clear, consistent message on all aspects of UID requirements; communicate and educate influential government leaders about the benefits of UID compliance; and establish a plan for success. For more information, visit the UID Supplier Alliance website.
